Though strays aren't uncommon in these districts, and are often considered nothing more than pests that add to the overpopulation problem, the hippocratic oath still stands strong enough to help those who are brought in.
Sadly in this society, there is no foster or adoption system that is mandatory for children like this. In some cases it's for the best as they're more prone to being used as breeding mills or brothels for the depraved.
Still, for a few nights this little one can get some well deserved sleep before she'll have to fight to survive again. She's already shown a preference to sleeping in a safe little corner to a bed, the behavioral damage is already set in for life.
