It is called a moulding machine now :), I know I'm a plastics engineer myself, and I'm actually works on LEGO in Denmark, Billund :) We use to call them casting machines but the creators of the machines thinks moulding machine is more fitting, but you can call them both names :) in Europe we stile call them casting machines, but in America it's called a moulding machine or a injection moulding machine :)

O_o plastics engineer? Interesting... could I ask you if you know of any kind of plastic that is used the way resins are? As in, something I could use with rubber-silicon molds, at home? :3c

There is non you can use as home, that's why we use a moulding machine it need to be ejected in the mould with 1500-2000 bar in pressure, resin is a very viscous material when it's heated and act almost like a liquid, where moste plastics are more like rubber.

Is just that the resin I use, while easy to pour, isn't -that- hard once it cures... still a bit bendy |3 I'm looking for something slightly harder. May end up using METAL >:C XD
