You could also go with "myrkrsolar" - "sun's darkness" (if my hasty research into Old Norse is correct) without shrinking the font too much but only if you actually wanted something like a Kenning for an eclipse there. (I can't find a single word meaning "eclipse" in said hasty research, so a Kenning could do).
(The "y" would be written with an Uruz, so "murkrsolar")
