Geigue is the alien responsible for the chaos on Earth in 1988, and later in 199X. His psychic powers are potent enough to dominate the weak and feeble-minded and drive them to insanity. Upon controlling his psychic powers, he can temporarily gift creatures with their own psychic powers.
Geigue came to Earth to destroy all evidence of PSI, which was stolen from his race by George. They were alerted to this fact when they noticed through their saucers that several humans in future born generations were developing PSI powers and performing ‘miracles’.
While on Earth, Geigue keeps himself concealed inside a transparent glass-like capsule surrounded by machinery in the mothership. The capsule is filled with a pitch-black liquid to protect him from the viruses and diseases of the Earth. Ninten believed that he could destroy the capsule, since it looked like it couldn’t stand up to a hit from his baseball bat. Only several hits later did he realize the capsule wasn’t actually made of glass, but rather some kind of material nigh impervious to his attacks. He and Ana opted to use their PSI powers, but realized the final layer of Geigue’s personal defense was his own PSI power, creating a perfectly safe capsule where he could not be harmed.
Geigue spoke to them, explaining why he came to Earth to destroy Ninten, then gave him the option of leaving with him on the mother ship. There was a lull in his psychic attacks. Ninten realized he was serious. However, he knew that he wasn’t the only one on the planet with PSI powers. The infant in Youngtown, Ana, and who knows how many other people would in the future sprout up with PSI powers. Geigue’s mission was to eradicate the entire human race if necessary.
Before he could give a response, Geigue already knew his answer, and continued to attack. Ana suddenly started humming the Eight Melodies in her mind, echoing through the minds of Ninten, Lloyd, and Geigue. Geigue was stunned, suddenly remembering the Melodies as Maria sang them to him as a child. He thrashed about in the capsule, trying his hardest to shut the kids up once and for all. Protected by Ninten’s PSI powers, they continued to sing the Eight Melodies in unison until Geigue was brought to submission. He could no longer concentrate on the fight, so he withdrew, promising to return one day. The last the trio saw of him was his shocked expression as he coiled into a fetal position in the pod, just before the mother ship blasted off into space to return to his home planet.
