Had an idea a while back for a new MLP character. Member of the rather large Apple Family and this lil guy is it. I may get around to doing an honest to goodness story with him. Not sure yet.

Bushel Buck took a deep breath as he walked into his new school with his cousin at his side. He blushed a bit as she was just a bit taller than he was. Apple Bloom for her part hadn't stopped talking since they'd left home. A feature the quite colt had learned to live with since coming to live with her and her family. It'd been a few weeks now and he did want to get back in school. He couldn't just sit around. Although he had enjoyed helping Big Mac out with task around the farm. The quiet companionship of the big soft spoken Stallion had been most comforting. Bushel Buck found himself gravitating to him and Big Mac for his part had readily taken the cold under his wing as it were. Even been a shoulder to cry on when Buck's mind drifted back to his loss. Everything was new now. A new town, new school, new family. Maybe the last wasn't new new but he'd never spent much time with any of them before beyond the reunions and he tended to be the soft sort off to the side.

"Oh and this here is the Nurse's office. You can drop your....supplies off here for her." Apple Bloom said catching Buck's attention. At mention of that he couldn't help but blush.

"O-okay." Buck nodded and walk in slowly still blushing deeply Apple Bloom right behind him. She took his hand.

"It's Ok Miss Heart's really nice." Apple Bloom reassured him. "Hi there Miss Heart! This is mah cousin Bushel Buck."

"Oh hello there Bloom. Oh I was wondering when he'd show up. Come along with me for just a second Buck and I'll help you get your supplies stored away."

"Yes ma'am." Buck nodded looking over to Apple Bloom.

"I'll wait for ya right here." She said with a grin.

"Thank you." Buck smiled back a bit as he followed Miss Heart into the next room which had a few cabinets along the wall, an exam table and various medical things about all neatly stored.

"You can keep your supplies here in this cupboard." She gestured to one which already had a label with Bushel Buck's name on it. He sat his back pack down and blushed as he started to unzip it. it was open he dug just a bit and produced a package of Cuddle Hooves Diapers. He looked at the package and couldn't stop shaking. "It's Ok hun. Now like I said we'll just keep these and everything else here. If you need a change you just ask your teacher Miss Cheerilee to go to the bathroom. She'll know what you mean and keep it quite. Also stop by here at lunch and recess times. That should mean you won't usually need to ask."

"Y-yes ma'am." Buck blushed more deeply nodding as he took all that in. It was embarrassing but also comforting to know how things would work. He hands had stopped shaking as he finished putting his supplies away.

"That a boy. Now do you need anything now hun?" Miss Heart asked wanting to make sure.

"N-no ma'am I'm fine. I erm...you know, before we left." Buck said blushing as he recalled being changed by Apple Jack. Having spent so much time with Big Mac it was the stallion who'd born the brunt of that task though he seemed to not mind it at all. Even humming during changes. AJ though had done the job well and with no remark other than "There ya go all set." once finished.

"Alright then go head on to class with your cousin." Miss Heart told him and gave him a part on the shoulder. Buck smiled and made his way back out.

True to her word Apple Bloom had remained. She quickly popped up from her seat in the waiting space and lead him back out into the halls.It wasn't long at all until they were in their class room and Buck stopped at the door to take in the sight. So many new ponies. More his age than he'd been around since he arrived. He took a deep breath to calm down and followed Bloom over to the cubby and stowed his back pack there and made his way over and around by the black board. His hands holding onto his overall straps for something to hold onto. He hoped this would go well. Maybe he'd make a friend here. He hadn't had many back home. He'd lost so much but everything was new now. Maybe this new chance would pay off.
