Kai laid on his back, staring at the ceiling. His heart fluttered. Satoshi laid on his side next to him. His fingers absently tickled Kai's stomach, making him squirm. Kai knew he shouldn’t be nervous. So why was he?
"Are you okay, Kai?" asked Satoshi, as if reading his mind.
"Hm? Yeah, I'm fine. It's just..." The sentence fell into thin air. He let out a deep breath.
Satoshi rolled onto his stomach and rested his chin on Kai's chest, his tail swishing behind him. "Have you done this before?"
"Yeah. But not in a long time."
"Hikaru never-"
Kai shook his head before he could finish. Satoshi reached up and rubbed Kai's chest with a fingertip, smiling at him. Kai took Satoshi's long ear between his fingers, stroking from base to pointed tip. Looking into Satoshi's red eyes, Kai knew he never wanted to be with anyone more in his life. Did Satoshi feel the same way?
"Want me to start?" asked Satoshi.
Kai nodded. "Okay."
Satoshi wriggled himself high up on Kai's body, his legs straddling Kai's stomach. His body heat flowed into him, making Kai a little delirious.
Kai's heart pounded. "You'll tell me if I hurt you?"
Satoshi smiled with one side of his mouth. "You won't."
******
Kai collapsed on Satoshi's body, both completely out of breath. He picked himself up and gazed in Satoshi's eyes again. Satoshi wrapped his arms around Kai's neck and kissed him hard. Kai ran his hands through Satoshi's long hair, then down his lithe back. Satoshi pulled away and smiled, his face somehow flush despite his black skin.
Kai guessed he should probably say something, but no words came. Instead, they just stared at each other in pleasant silence. Kai had never known anyone like him.
