Kinda doesn't really count if I have good reason to believe any said dogma exists in the first place, let alone the Christian dogma. "Mark of the beast" in this case referring to a lion being a beast and tattooed on my body, not satanic in nature and dooming myself to an eternity of torture by a vengeful, spiteful, narcissistic merciful god. It was wordplay and I knew what I said.

Well we can debate semantics all day and as I said I'm non-religious, so I don't believe in heaven/hell existing in the first place. But according to the theology, there are multiple passages that claim someone like me will be sent to hell. Revelation 21:8, Romans 2:6-8, John 3:36 to name a few. And if God was merciful, it begs the question why he invented sin to begin with and punish thousands of generations for the one mistake two people made long before you or anyone else was born? Thats insanely immoral.
So "a lot of people claim" isn't here say, its apart of your theology, if I'm presuming you're Christian yourself. Its a huge footnote in the book Christians base their entire life philosophy off of. It's also what I was consistently taught when I was a Christian myself and there are criteria on which you're judged upon and its explicitly stated if you don't believe in the holy spirit, you will be damned for eternity.

The Beast was actually Domitian who ruled to 96 a.d., when he was assassinated by the relative of a man he had had executed for "atheism" (Christianity). He had actually issued licenses required for anybody to buy & sell, provided they would worship him as a god - which Christians would NOT do. Some copies still exist.
Tho his assassination meant that the book of Revelations was now scrap paper, too many continued to accept it as a prophecy.
