I don't understand myself.
One second, I'm trying for detailed sprites, lineless, and kinda pixel shaded...
The next one, I'm trying for cute toony sprites.

Darn it, Shen, keep a style for the damn sprite sheet! XD

Actually the toony sprites are set nicely against a more detailed environment.

Hm. Then maybe I will do it that way. Multiple-color Backgrounds, and toony active sprites?

The sprites remind me of some early windows games (Or dos under Super-VGA) that ran in 640x480 with 256 colour dithering. Very nostalgic. =D

there isnt enough varience in your motion sprites to create teh illusion of movement when they are used, for instance your walking sprite there is all 3 the same image, ited look like the charicter is slideing if you used that! and the crystals likewise if you want it to look like the crystal is floating you need each image to move up or down a little bit on the pedastal and maybe create a bit of a shine effect by moveing the highlight across the crystal as it 'floats'
ive been trying 'desperatly' to learn to make my own sprites of late, pixel art style specificly id never even dare to try handdrawn sprites my skills just are not up to par to taht
edit: i take it back about the crystals i just noticed you did very the hight but its just so slight per image its imperseptable almost to my eye not sure how that will look when animated but good work

Emh... the idle one isn't walking... just slightly bouncing up and down. Her legs doesn't move, at all. Is intended NOT to look like walking... =P
The crystal DOES move up and down... (oh, you fixed it XD)
And yeh, I do few-frame-animations for them, since I like the retro feel on it XD
