This is the helmet I have for the bike I'm building

Its a military surplus steel pot helmet, I got it pretty cheap since it was a un observer helmet and thus blaze orange. 2 coats of black and 2 more coats of the same red as my bike.

First thing was I used a sharpie to sketch out a rough checker pattern on the helmet. I was going to try and measure it all down make it perfect. I had a rig all set up to make the perfect arch... but it didnt work so I eye balled it. I then filled in the pattern with several coats of alternating white and black. I then got some paint markers and outlined the whole arch in black and went about neatening up the edges.

For the other side I wanted something Orky and Meky I found a geared ork skull online and made a stencil. I then traced that onto the helmet with sharpie. I painted in the gear and skull in white and then used the black paint markers to fill in the eyes nose and give it some nice outline

I agreez wit yer colour choice fer dat helmit. Seein' az red be da fas'tiz colour 'round.

But by Gork ya betta be paintin' da bike red to now!

Sorry, couldn't resist. Cudos for making things Orky around here.

o corse da bike is red...  wat you take me for a git.
Right now iz just a toy fer me lucky Grot.  not a proppa war bike,  It some hummie thing he found.   He likes it do cause is quiet and sneaky.   Grots lik dat kinda fing.  So I figured hes me lucky grot I take dis hummie peice of junk and makes it noice and orky, and it makes him happy...  Pluss  I can test out me designs for da sneaky, suprise da hummie, war bikes before I tries ta sell demm to da Kommandos

the bike is red, and it will be posted here.  Its, a mountian bike I'm tricking out to look orky.   Plus I got a small 4 stroke motor kit for it since in my state you don't need insurance on a motorized bicycle.   It should be very cool.   It' already in ridable shape  now I just need to attach the motor and get that all settled in

thanks man. I was thinking of adding some more. maybe some painted cracks or soemthing but I think its kist about right any more and it'll start looking cluttered

LOL thanks. I think that gear skull really sells it. I was just gonna use my bunny ork sigal but I think this is better.

I hope you like my riding mask I'm making too. I got a second hand paintball mask, I've painted it a good orky green. and now I'm using some pva to make a nice cybork jaw plate with sharp teefs
