This piece premiered first at the Eurofurence 21 art show.

Inspiration can be tough to come by sometimes, but this is a picture that I have had in mind for years now. It is actually based off a picture of a lion character from Black & White 2, in a kneeling pose.
I had tried rendering a tiger in a similiar fashion years before, but failed. Now with enough courage and experience I was finally able to pull this picture off, exactly the way I wanted.

I am really happy with the final result, even though drawing the fur texture was pretty painful towards the end.

Can I just say that this is the DreamAndNightmare post I've been waiting for? Looking at your previous art for however long, I always knew you had the ability to do something like this. Your other art is without doubt fantastic, make no mistake, but for lack of time and the tediousness of detail, I knew you still had the potential for a true masterpiece. This is that masterpiece. It's absolutely breathtaking and I can tell every stripe and shadow was made with painstaking care, not a single corner was cut, and you've successfully created something truly flawless. So hat's off to you, this is truly excellent. ^^

P.S. Forgive my late comment, went a month without internet and now my "New Submissions" backlog is through the fucking door and down the street.

Thank you very much for the kind words! I feel really honored and flattered that you hold this work in such high regard. It was a great opportunity for me to really go all out with the details in this picture, that is indeed true. And I am really glad it shows. :3 It was really cool to be able to focus on this idea and bring it to life in such a degree, with patience and an eye for detail that I am really happy with how it came out. It's definitely one of my favorites. :3
