Evoli walked the dark streets of Lumoise City, the stones used to pave them were cool to the touch, numbing his paws.
In the distance, a Furfrou could be heard, howling at the moon, to which someone would reply with a 'shut up you stupid mutt'.
He was alone, and so far from his home.
Abandoned.

The trainer he was with had taken him from Menhir Trail, away from his family and friends, only to leave him after finding him weak and useless to his needs.
No doubt the trainer was off finding another Eevee to replace him with.
It seemed typical of a human to do so.

He began to whimper, a sadness overcoming him, filling him with the now painful memories of his time with his 'friend'.

'Why did you leave me? Why do you hate me?'
He would ask himself.

Finding a small alley, he walked into its dark embrace, hoping it would give him some shelter from the cold wind that raced through the main streets.

Turning a corner, he saw a bright light.
It lit up this part of the alleyway, originating from the large structure built in the center of the entire city.

He sat down, bathing in the light, tears forming in his eyes.
Unable to muster the strength nor the will to walk any further, he thought it fit to stay here for the night, and lay down to rest.
What better place than the middle of the city, in the middle of the night.

With that, he closed his eyes, drifting off to a sleep he hoped, wished with all his heart, that he would never wake from.

I've played nothing but pokemon to cheer myself up, but then this came to mind.
