Ka-thump

Like a great heartbeat, a booming rhythm sounded from the chest of the fledgling dragon.
Dragons, known for their great power, are blessed with what mortals know as a Dragon Heart, a crystalline organ that as its namesake suggests pumps mana through body of a dragon at a rate most mortals would never be able to achieve.

In a flash the young warrior had so flooded his body with magic that it began to pour out of him in torrential streams and as it filled the air around him he molded it to his hands in preparation for a great attack.
