Haven't actually watched the show, know it mostly through artists doing stuff. But as far as I know Chrysalis has enough history with them to make her not worth listening

Once again remember I haven't watched the show, correct me if i'm wrong. But their reactions are more "And you tried to enslave our people to harvest them for food, why do you think you didn't bring this upon yourself"
I mean, from the references I see around that's how it went down, which is basically why Chrysalis did bring this on herself and her people. There definitely had to be a better way. (which, I mean, knowing Vava and how more light-hearted this comic is, I kinda expect something along those lines to come out of Cadence and Chrysalis, while Twilight is busy running damage control)

maybe so... but thats like if Ponies invaded the changeling lands for whatever reason, lets say because they wanted some natural resources there, the changelings would live, but they'd be annex'd and used as slave labor, they'd be fed and kept healthy, but they'd have no free will... this fails and chrysalis goes "right you tried to enslave us, so we are going to make sure your whole species slowly starves to death!" it doesn't sound as fair the other way around does it

Boy this is going south on the ponies. Like the others said. Chrysalis came in good faith to try to plead a deal with the princesses and while it may have been taken in a lower way they have gone too far also. While the guard is right too. The drama is getting into the overload area also.
