Unless ... all the grown-ups .... 'went away' ... during the childhood of the main characters.... But if they vanished that quickly, where did M.O.M. come from? And how did the kids manage to keep society running? Even with M.O.M.'s advice, would they have the emotional maturity and discipline to follow through with the advice?
So many questions, I wait with breath abated for the answers as the story develops...
