Vicky is completely, utterly, and in all ways in love with Captain Raven. She is still known as the Honorable Veronica Vicksonstar by the Crown authorities of the Imperial Confederation, who consider the young noblewoman an unwilling captive of the feared space pirate.
Before being “captured”, the only joy in her life (that society allowed her to have) was decorating herself with the precious jewelry that the nobility was expected to wear. That's why, when confronted by the feared pirate captain, the plea of, “Do whatever you want to me, just don't take my valuables!” made perfect sense to her... and confused the hell out of Raven. Not as if that stopped the lustful pirate from capitalizing on the offer; having her way with the pretty vixen and leading her about the captured ship naked on a leash made of her precious valuables.
It wasn't until the pirates departed and she was no longer in fear for her life that the noblewoman came to realize how aroused she was to have been used and treated like a pet by the beautiful pirate captain. Left not only with her jewels, but a powerful new desire, the vixen longed to cross paths once more with Raven. As fate would have it, they would... though not in the most pleasant way.
The ship on which the noblewoman was traveling was beset by two rival pirate crews, Raven's being one. Preferring to divide the spoils than fight, the pirate crews each raided a different side of the captured vessel... unfortunately for the vixen, she was on the wrong side. Worse, she found herself at the (lack of) mercy of one of the more sadistic members of that crew who decided to cap off rape with a brutal beating. Fortunately, he had not struck her more than a few times before Raven, attracted by the commotion, intervened.
Overcome with a feeling of protective possessiveness, Raven killed the attacker and beheaded the rival pirate captain without a word. She carried the bruised and bleeding vixen back to her own ship where she personally cared for her until she was well... taking the liberty to replace the few teeth she had lost in the beating with diamonds and gold, much to the noblewoman's delight. Considering that Raven had saved her life, she didn't object in the least to Raven wanting to keep her as a pet. Given she was a lesbian, being Raven's pet was preferable to the inevitable coerced marriage to a nobleman she wouldn't love just so she could pop out an heir and spend the rest of her life hosting dull social functions for his benefit.
“Vicky”, as Raven would name her beloved pet, now lives to please her mistress any way she can. She turned her once forbidden interest in gymnastics into exotic dance with which to delight both captain and crew (not to mention adapted for hand-to-hand combat) and turned the also once forbidden interest in sharp-shooting into becoming the ship's premier sniper. While her dancing is well known, her skill with the atomic rifle is kept secret for her protection, lest it earn her a date with the hangman's noose. And despite being a lesbian, she will become intimate with men if, and only if, her mistress wishes it of her (Raven particularly enjoys seeing Vicky and the ship's cabin boy engaging in the carnal hokey-pokey for her amusement, and sometimes joins in). To Vicky, it is an act of love for her mistress, not the male she happens to be with at the moment.
