xo so srs! I can surely see now! ^^; we'll have to figure out some way to optimize the program's use of resources on her lil' ol' machine here. It doesn't push the ram much at all but for some reason it really crawls at high res (maybe the lack of an independent graphics processor or something)

But a graphics heavy program can lean on a gpu if you've got an independent graphics processor on your board somewhere ^^; which her machine does not. Also, the high-res images need to load and move masses of bulk data around in ram regardless of whether the main cpu or gpu are doing the number crunching so lots of ram a plus but also good high-speed ram which is prolly not what this machine has xP
