Counting down a day to 722. Dum Spiro Spero to all my fellow Sarawakians.
It's a blessing to be born in this land where over 30 different ethnics and languages, and religions living in peace and harmony.
It's a place where a kek lapis is a must in all Sarawak festive seasons, even though it's a Malay cake but we call it Kek Lapis Sarawak;
where everyone love that simple breakfast mi kolok/kampua, even though it's a Chinese dish but we call it Mi Kolok/Kampua Sarawak;
where when one visit a longhouse, one said "balik" longhouse because one will be treated as a family there and asked to "balik" often;
where everyone despite their differences in backgrounds (which we do not bother about) can sit down and eat together sharing jokes and stories under one roof without any problem.
It's a place when asked about one person identity, he/she will proudly say he's/she's a Sarawakian.
May this land stays peaceful and harmony. Happy Independence.
