A more honest answer is, I'm against this trend they have of introducing new characters all the time. They really handle the story telling wrong of the Sonic World. Take Knuckles for example. I like the character, originally from Sonic 3... At the end he's a friend. It was cool stuff.... why did they have to put him back in EVERY SINGLE GAME SINCE!? T_T it would have been really cool if they had a game or two, and then he makes an appearance. That would make it special.
