Well given the recent court ruling here in the US I felt I should draw something and well Balt and Dylan were my conduit into accepting myself as who I am in this regard so I thought it only appropriate to use them. In a world of cute fuzzy furs, in a town full of crinkles, in a world where the world can always right itself love between any two people is a given. But we don't live in that world. Still though each day through our actions we can try and make our world. The world of Monday mornings, deadlines, and more than occasional ignorance just a bit like the Fur one we wish we lived in. Today we've come a step closer to that. Today Love Wins out.
Ok then enough of that. On to the traditional story with the pic. ^^
"H-how do I look?" Dylan asked standing at his front door blushing his dress vest and pants and a button up shirt.
"You look wonderful." Balt smiled closing the small gap between them and took the cabbit's hands. "So how do I look in a suit?"
"It suits you well." Dylan replied grinning as Balt shook his head.
"Ouch that one hurt. Picked that pun up from Lig?" Balt asked rising an eyebrow.
"Yes." Dylan admitted with a blush.
"Well I think you both look quite Handsome" Dylan's mom replied warmly, having watched the young couple.
"T-thank you ma'am." Balt stuttered for once before straightening up and trying to look a bit more proper.
"Your welcome Balt. You two have fun tonight. Be careful on the roads and don't get too carried away at the party afterwards. Oh and should you two decide to-" Dylan's mom said as her son's blush grew until she was cut off.
"Mom! Not that!" Dylan exclaimed blushing deeply.
"I was only going to remind you two not to nod off right afterwards. Wouldn't want to ruin the sheets." His mom smiled as Balt blushed a bit too but was obviously stifling a laugh.
"Don't worry Ma'am. I'll make sure we have some protection for afterwards." Balt chimed in as Dylan gave him a shove. "What protection's important ya know."
"Oh get your mind out of your diaper...at least for now please." Dylan asked blushing still.
"Ok Ok. Come on bunny buns lets get going." Balt said offering Dylan his hand.
"Alright. See you tomorrow morning mom." Dylan smiled and gave her a hug and a kiss before taking Balt's hand.
The two made their way to Balt's modest car with Balt leading the way and holding the door open for Dylan who's mom smiled as she wathed them pull out of the drive way. Her little boy was growing up on her. Well at least in some ways anyway. Meanwhile Balt and Dylan chatted a bit as Balt drove them to the school. It's parking lot already starting to fill out. Balt found a space and got out once again insisting on getting the door for Dylan. Balt wanted to be the night in Shining all be it green armor.
They entered the Gym where the prom as being held and with all the decoration you'd never know it was the gym but for the look of the floor itself. Lig and Onyx greeted them and they talked a bit. Lig had pointed out that Augustine had set up a Photo station and thus the couple made their way on over. Augustine smiled and welcomed them over and adjusted his camera. Balt and Dylan stood close and Balt winked at Augustine. He'd had a lil talk with the Raptor Fennec before hand so Augustine waited for the right moment. Balt looked into Dylan's sky blue eyes. Dylan looked up into Balt's Ocean Blue eyes and in in that moment the folf pulled his Cabbit in close and planted a kiss. Dylan find himself going with it as the two wrapped arms around each other and Dylan got up on a tiptoe for better height as they locked in a kiss. Lost in each other for that moment Augustine snapped the picture. One the couple would cherish for a life time. One that would find it's place into an album next to a wedding photo some day. For theirs was a Lasting Love.
