That feeling when you draw a character that you're not used to drawing and they come out looking SUPER WEIRD.

I'm much more used to drawing closer to how Spixy looks, so Mal came out pretty awkward. But I really wanted to have at least one sketch up that shows most of their bodies. I'll do a better drawing eventually and add color.

Mal (essentially me IRL)
5'11"
Biologically female
Identifies as genderqueer; Prefers male pronouns
Wears a chest binder
Glasses
Hair always in a ponytail
Generally older looking

Spixy (Still sorta me, but in limited ways)
5'8"
Biologically female
Identifies as female
Wears skirts or pants
Generally more childish looking

Does a chest binder hurt? :o Just wondering.

Not as long as you have the correct size. If you buy one that's too small, then it's probably impossible to put on in the first place, ha. But no, I find mine to be quite comfy, actually.

ah I like Mal :P Looks like the type of person you can have a beer with. :P

Through I wonder if people mistake you as a transgender or lesbian.

Well, I am transgender, so that wouldn't be a mistake, and I don't really care if someone thinks I look like a "lesbian stereotype". I just like men's overshirts.

Aw, well I think Mal looks really good, and you can definitely see see the difference between him and Spixy. I rather like the contrast between his somewhat older, more mature vibe and Spixy's cuter, more childlike demeanor. The amount of personality that shows through for both of them, even when they're just standing there, is quite impressive!

I must remember about preferring male pronouns, though. I don't know why I'm so bad at that, and it's a wonder you haven't smacked me for it!

Would you mind if I asked what "genderqueer" means for you?

I think "Genderqueer" is a better choice of word. Every time I hear "Gender Fluid," I have to remind myself that it's not a brand of lube!

Both cuties. I'd give Mal a beer and Spixy a popsicle.

I like the distinction of which food/drink you'd give to who, ha ha.

Genderqueer is a less specific term, as it includes those who identify as no gender, both genders at once, and those who switch back and forth. I specifically am genderfluid, meaning I switch between feeling like one gender or another, so that's why I write both c:

Are Mal and Spixy related? Siblings? Twins? Kinda the same person in two bodies/minds in some way? Or are they characters that represent different aspects of you but aren't related themselves?
