Been sketching pony stuff lately for over on FIMfiction. Mostly for an AU setting known as the Chaseverse to many. I highly recommend 'The Chase' and it's many side-stories. 'The Chase' is at 1,857,201 words as I type this and is prone to update a chapter or three daily.
The first pic is the main protagonist of 'The Chase', one Bucky Bitters, as he currently stands in events. His story is the foundation of the setting, but the way kudzuhaiku, the author, writes his stories you don't need to read Bucky's story to get into the setting, just to know more on why some things might be happening on the sidelines.
The second pic was made with a pose from a template, modified for the character body type. My hands were having a rough time yesterday when I made it. Still fat-fingering the keys as I type this even now. :P The pic is of a mare of two names, Holly Heartwood or Holly Homewrecker. She's the main character in one of the side stories set in Manehattan, 'M.F.D.'.
I've doodled both these a bit at this point and several other characters, both cannon and OC, as they are in that setting. These are just quick sketches that I've already shared with folks elsewhere.
