Submission number two!
Um. This is my skunk, Rei.
She's one of my oldest characters, and has one of the most depressing stories of all of my characters, which.. basically explains the image.
I'm not upset now, and I wasn't when I was drawing it, so her emotions, and this drawing, has nothing to do with how I feel, 'kay? :3
Basically, her story is:
Rei likes pain. Just 'cause. She doesn't hurt herself to make the pain she feels inside real or whatever the reason emo kids hurt themselves is... she just... likes.. to hurt herself. ._.
A while back, she had a husband named Max, and two kids. He loved her with everything he was worth, and every time she impaled herself on something, or cut herself open, or.. etc, etc, he felt like it was his fault, and he wasn't doing as much as he could to keep her happy, even though that wasn't the case. Despite the fact that he pleaded with her to stop, she never would, and he wound up depressed. It eventually got so bad, that he killed himself. (It took a while, but.. yeah.) When he wound up dead, the police got involved and decided that she was indirectly tied to his death, that she was an unfit mother, and took her children from her.
Within a week, she lost the three most important things in the world to her.
Within a year, she started going to school to be a nurse, went on multiple medications to block her depression, stopped wearing the spiked collar that she ALWAYS wore (it was a gift from Max) and changed her wardrobe drastically, all in an attempt to get away from what had happened, but sometimes, it still comes back and stops her from doing anything for a few hours/days at a time.
She still hurts herself. :3
