I've always figured Jynx, Electabuzz, and Magmar to be sort of a triad. They all got their maybe forms at the same time, but when Electivire and Magmortar were introduced in 4th gen, Jynx didn't get any love. This would change in my dex, where she evolves through being traded with her own unique item the same way those two do. No major changes to her besides increased Special stats.
