Appel took Honey to a local, reputable cafe where the two shared some stories about one another and exchanged gossip and hobbies. While Honey had primarily followed along hoping for entertainment, it did begin to feel warmer in the house the more they talked. Perhaps it really was just getting warmer, but there felt like a pleasant chemistry was in the air.
When the time came, Appel escorted Honey back home, both clinging to one another like close friends, deliberately taking detours to make their stay longer. But they did eventually reach Honey’s home, and it didn’t take long before clinging turned to kissing. If Appel hadn’t knocked on the door, they might’ve stayed right outside her house for a long time, Honey’s mother worried sick for her child.
Rather than staying the night, Appel made his excuses and politely headed home. He would keep his promise to Cinnamon, and he knew staying would be a bad idea. Now, another date, on the other hand?
