Dodeeja (the name for rat people in my game,) have a strong sense of morals, and faith.
Even on his tabard, are "Honor" and "Pride" in his native language.
In dodeeja lore, they believe that their people were rescued from the enslavement of an evil deity by the great Uzzadujoza. This being chose one of their own as a champion and gave him great strength, and rhinoceros horns upon his head. This allowed them to escape the evil being that held them captive, and enter into a new land, Dodanjuka. Since then, they have devoted themselves to Uzzadujoza, and have received numerous teachings from the planar deity.
Dodeeja have a fantasy realm setting reminiscent of medieval Europe. Ingrained in religion, but with no shortage of miscreants. While the guards and military often do not have a very great amount of belief, they wouldn't show it. There are monks and inquisitors who devote their lives and bodies to Uzzadujoza, and often receive "holy gifts" from their deity.
For more information, I wrote the beginning parts of "The Kingdom of Thorns" a long time ago, and that's pretty much about dodeeja inquisitors.
Uzzadujoza, when translated to common, is "The Undying One" roughly. Dodanjuka, is "Land of the Living" roughly. Though, the word "living" means for those who live their lives and persevere, rather than merely those who are alive.
Also, originally I was making this guy thinking I was making an adoptable warrior. That's why the palette is there. He'd be $5 if I were to sell him.
