However personally I don't think anthro Kiburi get to receive 100% of the blame here: she had given herself to him without caution and despite having bf. Both have faults, even if due Kiburi's misbehavior she's the one who is going to suffer for this.
But I think Chrys is a strong character, and if you look the first page she seems to have the determination to go on with life, even if many things are changed.

To be honest I ever envisioned him with a particular background: he's far from coming from a family with issues, on the contrary he's pretty much rich, with opportunities and without problems. However I think such character could have a psychological impact to cause his irresponsable behavior: possibly his parents are rich and keep him pampered, but without giving him a real parental love.
The whole matter it's a bit up to the reader, I am not strict with the stories, background and details of my characters ^^ And my opinion it's not the "100% canon" one
