Maybe it's just me, but I really can't see any of the Mane 6 as being black.

I really can't. It just never looks right to me.

Considering that I own a prepubescent ungulate girl who also has a human form who also has dark skin AND a primary color for a shade of hair (not to mention that she is technically half-black herself c: )...I am okay with Twilight being dark-skinned. Why is race even an issue? She still has nipples, a vagina, and a butt. She can still pee and poop and look sexy doing it, and that's good enough for me. <3

Besides, I love dark-skinned women. And I was always okay with Twilight being as such. But you know what? Humanized ponies are always open to debate in regard to the creator's will; I have made a lot of humanized ponies in the Dynasty Warriors games and I put my own spin on each one of them. That is the beauty of this fandom: if you make an anthro or human design, you are free to make it how you want. There is no right or wrong way to interpret either style. So there. c:
