It's been a while since I've last been able to properly do a Warriors of the Ark picture, so I decided to take some time since I don't have any commissions to do this piece. Right now it's an illustration specifically for the books I'm writing, but it's also a bit of a challenge to myself to see if I can actually evolve with my painting.

Anyways, this piece features the main character of my books using a technique known as Spot Forging, which utilizes an armour based projection system to heat and shape pieces of metal and polymers into a suitable armour piece. It requires a specialized undersuit that can withstand thousand degree heat and a dedicated cooling system to keep the pieces from burning the user.
Due to the high temperature nature of the system, it has a massive power draw and can only be used to craft lighter grade armour. Despite that, it can be used not only to craft armor from every day materials, but also maintenance that armour on the fly. Crafty users of a Spot Forge can quickly use it to make blistering hot weapons in the heat of combat, as well.
