i think this is a call back to his earlier comic and that it is saying that nightmare moon betrays them at some time after she and luna are seprerated. and this is going to go along and tell the story.

in the previous comics they were friends or even lovers if you read between the lines, celestia didn't trust NMM but luna stuck by her and because of this NMM decided to stay with luna and help her, calling luna and celestia her sisters... perhaps this comic is going to show some conflict between them, maybe NMM went to find papers new body but the others think she abandoned them... who knows?
