Well... played Splatoon for hours since friday... GOSH I LOVE THAT GAME!! It's what a shooter should be... not that piece of shit of Halo or Call of Duty or Gears of Wars... After facing several gore fests in real life, a shooter and a game that doesn't have violence and blood as the main protagonist is quite the relief.
QUESTION TIME OVER!!! The answer was swiftly picked in FA hahaha
You’re a squid now, you’re a kid now, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid, you’re a squid, you’re a kid…

Yes. It's actually quite good. Though, the subject of blood is odd, as, while it's not quite dark enough....The enemy in the single player, the Octarians, use pink.
Which covers the screen in the color if you get stuck in it.
Which is more red than it is on the ground.
I have to question why that color was chosen in this instance, honestly, It actually reminds me of the color of the blood in the Bond Film's Gunbarrel Sequences, not red enough to be proper blood, but still implicatively red. And, Orange would pop a bit more, maybe purple, with the colors of the octarians. Surely they aren't constrained to the law of "Hair Color = Ink Color" too, that's usually just a player thing in anything.

Well to be honest the color of the ink is linked to the clothes (as in the game) and since The character has a red and black shirt... I decided to go with Red, PLUS, having Red ink is a different hue that makes him unique and more "out of the common inklings"
The character I decided to inkify is my most powerful character (A godly character that is mostly Deus-Ex in the sense he's hardly defeated, and in stories has only been seen half defeated and badly wounded once, the rest of the time he is always there doing the strategies and acting in the shadows moving the strings) and he has an afiliation to both black and red... his hair is brown but you get to see how odd (and nasty) would brown ink look, if you know what I mean. So being him my most powerful and basically a warrior that has spend eons in wars, I decided to go with red as his ink main pattern.

Well that's the point of that character who is acutally Famine one of the four horsemen of apocalypse... he even has an undefeatable form... but of course, I don't write unleveled... after using that he becomes more suceptible to common sickness like colds and that... just imagine him with a tummyache... haha but anyway, my point for Famine is that he's literally controlling the universe with his siblings and he just pulls the strings to let things happen and write about them (So basically the narrator o all my stories is Famine) But in contrast I also have an utterly overpowered "villain" who's Shade. He always mess up with Famine's writing and in the end the two make a wagger on who would win? Heroes or Villains in the final confrontation

I have a habit of thinking of weaknesses as I think of strengths anyway. One, then the other, so on. The main character of the story, also the narrator who is telling the story about 7 years after it ends, Is very flexible, so he can dodge well. He's skilled with a sword, he's clever and well versed in knowledge, he can control the earth around him, e.g. Mineral and Metal things.....But he's incredibly weak to actually being hit. Like..Protoman levels, he'll be incapacitated. He heals quickly, but, he kinda has to be defended for that to work, so...Well, the other characters are mandatory to keeping the hero alive. That's what I always wanted to go for, anyway.

Ohhh Well, as for Famine he controls mainly Ice, Fire, Darkness and Light but can control all elements... and basically is a god-like character. That's why I mostly use him as a resource of narration or puppet master

PS: I just checked one of the inked files and indeed there's only one color combination that has red and light orange ink! So is official there can be red inklings!
Yup, indeed PS: I just checked one of the inked files and indeed there's only one color combinatio
Well, it was originally going to be black and white and have Tofu. Then Rabbits. Then Regular Squids that behave like people. All while still having black and white ink. So people would have had a lot more fun with that than red.
Really? Well, it was originally going to be black and white and have Tofu. Then Rabbits. Then Regul
I more meant, which part? The Rabbits? The Tofu? The Walking Squids? The black and white ink and why people would have more of a field day with that than red?
The first three were conceptual ideas that eventually resulted in inklings.
The black and white ink, or, white ink in particular....
White stuff.
Dripping off of rabbits or squids.
MEMES.
I more meant, which part? The Rabbits? The Tofu? The Walking Squids? The black and white ink and why
First, they originally had blocks of Tofu as the characters shooting ink. Then Rabbits. But then the Nintendo employees they showed the demo to said "Why would rabbits be shooting ink?" so, they made it squids to fit the theme.
For the black and white ink..
Memes. So, black and white, that's racism jokes for the memes.
Cum jokes for the white ink, since they could show it as white stuff dripping off of squids. The internet can make a joke of anything. Ex.: You're a kid now, you're a squid now. Meme.
So, yeah. First, they originally had blocks of Tofu as the characters shooting ink. Then Rabbits. B
Yeah, white ink is more meme-worthy than red, since there are a lot more jokes to be made. Blood is just a convenient similarity, sex jokes are just the internets field of expertise.

Actually on Gamexplain's explanation of the game they didn't noticed or maybe did that there was a Miiverse post that said "This game needs more white ink" hahahaha
