John Edwards is a loyal and battle hardened admiral of the Royal Navy. He is also is well known of his hatred for pirates, believing them to be a great threat against the crown, this anger is only increased when his cousin Robert became a pirate himself.

During his years of service to the crown he has earned an infamous reputation among the navy for his methods of interrogation, because all of which involves a wide range of cruel methods of torture that he uses. Which result in most of his prisoners going insane.
