I stopped playing WoW last year from lack of interest in the newer content. I feel like WoW hit its high point around Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm. Mists of Pandaria was fun for the main questline, but it felt even grindier than the previous expansions, especially the Thunder and Timeless island special grind zones.

Timeless island was nothing but grind, Thunder had a bit of story but timeless not even that. And they actually acknowledge Timeless was only grind to occupy players. I didn't really enjoy the non-revamped zones of cataclysm outside of the story line, it was just ... rushed through. The best is still Wrath indeed. WoD has the stronghold system which is cool and a good story... but that end really quickly leaving you nothing to do but to do a grind like Timeless island... hence why I stopped.
