I only save a copy when I'm not sure what's next! Once the background was grey I knew there needed to be different types of grey doing different stuff and the creature should turn greyish also.

Ah thank you! I wasn't going to do anything with this beyond the basic drawing to amuse myself but I liked the sleeve edges and such, and also realized I hadn't produced a proper rain picture or anything at night and so put more effort into this. I am glad that you think it worked out adequately!
