They are Friendly, the fox; and Timothy, the raccoon. Both of them are swimming on a cenote, a natural sinkhole resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath.
The cool, deep water is perfect for cooling off on a hot summers day, but Timothy can't swim. He's wearing his floaties, and Friendly is keeping an eye on his raccoon friend, and watching Timothy's little feet spinning.
