Here is an example of what I can do traditionally when I am looking at a photograph as a reference. I am trying to do more pieces without looking at references though, but most are meh, though I keep trying.

Any critiques welcome

Also does the more solid coloring on the right look better, the attempted fur effect on the left look better?
