A warm up drawing from the other day. Been thinking about Dark Cloud a lot lately. It was one of my favourite PS2 games, and if I hadn't already played it through 3 times, I'd go play it again right now X3

I always loved that Xiao is literally your cat, transformed to human-ish so she can help you out. She loves you so much~

LOVE me some Dark Cloud!

I bought a PS2 recently just to play it all over again. It's one of the very few games I've beaten over and over again~

Xiao + Slingshot Steve best combo, imo

The whole time you played as xiao, you got to see those how her tail lifted up the back of her short dress~

And xiao jumping over chasms was possibly my favorite part of the game :T

Oh god, I loved Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2.
Never was able to beat either due to unforeseen circumstances ;.;

Never tried to emulate it on my pc(s).

I Wonder if they're on a PS3/PS4 store? I don't have either of those yet.

Hey, I remember her...!
I never played much of Dark Cloud - in fact, I never owned it - but even at that young age, I loved how adorable Xiao was. I'm not a big fan of her (original) ears' design, but apart from that small gripe, she was cute, both physically and personality. As you said, I like how she was your pet cat made human, and still loves and snuggles just as much. XD And I have to agree with johnbrittish; her animations captured her lovely feline qualities well. =3
Nice to see her again!

I actually kind of like the sorta feral, squirrel-ish ear design. They remind me of the Ktarl-Ktarl race from Outlaw Star a bit, now that I look at them more closely. Neat.

I'm glad I could drop a bit of a nostalgia bomb on people. Makes me want to draw even more video game fanart.
