As a tradition, men 'water' us women ,not to let us wither . So we either get sprinkled by stinky perfumes or a glass or bucket of water, which is not a pleasant thing to be honest, plus in exchange of this torment , we give decorated eggs an/or money or food to our abusers. In the USA, ill try to make my mate do this for me just for the laughs , and ill get him a dyed egg to freak him out -w-

Sounds like something borrowed from the springtime/new-year water festivals in southeast Asia, perhaps? (If you feel adventurous, look up "water festival Thailand"- Torture on a grand scale-- Everyone gets soaked!)
Fortunately, we don't have THAT here in America... :) Something worth looking forward to? ;)
