Shadow was part of the growing insensate clutter that drove me away from Sonic comics.
Back at #134 or so (Sally calls off her wedding with Sonic).

If I remember he came back from space and she didn't want him to fight Eggman, they disagreed and broke up. I still enjoy the comics. Yet to catch up from 232 onwards
