What the feck?! How is it that you can keep me waiting on a commission I paid a hundred dollars for while others get their little commissions done in a week? It's been 11 months! Or nearly, really.
For anyone actually reading this, it was Early May of last year I won an auction at $100. Now, this is someone who is actually a popular artist, for all intents and purposes... and was offering a premium type of piece for commission to the highest bidder. Well, at the time that was me.
Since then they've completed more than 50 pieces, (most of them commissions, and most of them including her main character somewhere in the image.) With how often she posts "commission journals" and "YCHs" I assume that means that they must have been paid for long after mine. Some of them are paid on stream and then made right there.
In fact, I have poked her time after time. "Oh, I didn't see your note." "I've been having health issues." "Okay, I'll get a sketch in a week, (and no response for a month before I poke her again.)" I did finally get a preliminary, VERY quick sketch after 8 months of waiting, which was done without the use of my reference, (because apparently my PMs are so hard to find here on IB... what with the best note system. It's all ONE STRING!) So after mentioning a few things it was "okay, I'll do that and get right back to you."
I have seen NOTHING come up since. NOTHING! I've seen her stream time to time, commissions still, I've poked still, I've even said it might be time for her to just call it and send me a refund... but no, no, she keeps promising. Next week, next weekend, tomorrow, tonight. NOTHING!
WHAT do I do, when it's a popular artist such as this?
