“Animal lovers everywhere will pay top dollars for indestructible pets!
Actually I was thinking we could sell the process to the military to make super-soldiers...”
The maybe only good thing Rob Liefeld ever created imo (besides providing a target for mockery about how awful his art was/is) was the character Deadpool, a “hero” that by now is surrounded by the Deadpool Corps, a group of superhero-caricatures, basically. One of them is Dogpool, an ordinary mutt that got his powers from being subjected to animal testing in the cosmetic industry (which sounds like a revenge story about to happen). So I put the obvious things together, see? :-)
Also, it was fun to draw in the style of 90's superheroes, with their ridiculous muscle-mass (not that THAT has changed much since, though), and the combination of swords AND guns they usually carried for some reason. It can't really be for the case of them running out of ammo, because what else could be in those million pouches they had all over their bodies? My guess is they just had their Mentos in there, since the size of their guns never correlated with the size of those pouches, which therefore wouldn't have been able to carry fitting ammo anyways XD
It's also remarkable that Deadpool wasn't named after something Liefeld noticed when looking around bored under his office desk, unlike other characters (“I need a name, jeez, being creative is HARD...what's down there under my desk? 'Lint'? Nah, sounds stupid...'Cable'? That'll do...)
