My headcanon, until proven otherwise, is that in this universe, pteranodons are omnivores, my evidence is little but in the big water, we see a pteranodon hovering over the water, not flying over it, just hovering. So my theory is basically, in this universe, pteranodons are omnivores, likely a trait they gained over time and one that allows them to safely get food and feed their young, but hey. That's just a theory, a (admittedly) lame theory!
