000: Adriano's Origin
Adriano began to run, his arms locked behind him. As he made a dart towards the exit. He sped with all his might, only to be stopped by Dalton, the gate keeper. Adriano bumped him, and fell to a small patch of grass. Adriano rubbed his head, "oww... that hurt", he mumbled to himself. "Why are you here?" The gate keeper interrupted, furiously. "Children like you shouldn't be attempting to flee... especially from the safety of mans walls!" Adriano stood up and dusted his tunic off. "Why do you block the doors in the first place", Adriano replied with sarcasm. "Haven't your parents told you yet?" Dalton asked, pounding the bottom of his spear on the ground. Confused, Adriano continued to scratch his head. He replied. "Yeah, to keep Rabbits out, but why?" Dalton slapped his own face, in embarrassment. "Must I explain everything?"
"The clan of rabbits are a weak clan, that much is a given, but some of them just so happen to be some of the best warrior's out there, they've learned from their weaknesses, and have struggled to make those weaknesses strong points." Adriano dropped back to the ground, and crossed his arms. "So you guy's are afraid of them?" Dalton sighed... "geese kid... it isn't a matter of strength, its a matter of determination, and they have a ton of it. Dalton continued. "If we make contact with them, a war is sure to break out-have you any Idea why that is?" Adriano exhaled, and began pulling grass from the ground. "No why?" Dalton began to speak again "it's because they've had a sense of torment due to their past weaknesses, their strength is really lacking in stopping power; now, they are paranoid. with us being in their presence, they feel mocked and made fun of, so they'll attack without warning." "Ohh... I think I'm beginning to understand now." "Yes, Im glad." Said Dalton in relief "That's why we pure blooded humans have cut ourselves out of the main branch of this kingdom. It's a small, cozy little area, but we want to be sure that we aren't trespassing ourselves... and unfortunately with your lack of a sword, and the necessary skills to use it, you'll be in danger to leave even five feet away from our little cubicle space." Adriano stood up and put his arms over his head and pouted. "I could learn." "Yes but would you be able to attack if need be?" Interrupted Dalton. There was a moment of silence. Neither of them ushered a word. Finally Dalton spoke up. "Me and you both know, that you are too kind and gental to have a hand in combat. You would most certainly refuse to attack them if you did encounter anyone... this is why you of all people are held so high in this little village cubicle of ours. Because it's your purity we wish to preserve it." Adriano was silent. Ushering not a single word. "Your innocence will lead us to a futurewithout war, to attain this dream, you are needed to be kept alive. Get out of our village, and you may not come back the same guy in the future." "Bu-" "that is enough" Dalton interrupted "do as you are told, and go to the dinning area, it's getting late, dinner is almost ready. These gates are not to be opened until I return. And I expect you in bed by that time, and so does your mother" Adriano walked away and spoke gently. "Maybe if we weren't such ass holes to them, they'd have been more understanding." Dalton stopped almost immediately, attempting to come up with something else to say back. But before he could speak, Adriano was gone. "Poor kid", Dalton thought to himself "That kid won, reasoning would do so much better than violence and arguments, he is too kind, but for some reason... he gives me a bad vibe Adriano hasn't a clue what they are like." Dalton locked the gate, and proceeded towards the dinning area. "I haven't met such an innocent soul since I met that Bunny Princess... she was such a charming young girl. Then that place went from pink to red in a heartbeat, I almost can't believe the resemblances in character they share.
The night progressed slowly, and finally it was time for bed. Adriano was having a difficult time falling asleep. He'd fall asleep every once ina while, but he'd jolt back awake from hearing a young girl crying out to him. It got to the point where Adriano couldn't handle it anymore. He followed the voice to the locked gate. The guard was asleep. And the key's were hanging on the pouch of Daltons armor. Adriano knew he had to get out now. It wouldn't be right to ignore the unknown girl's cries. But still Adriano wondered how he'd get the key's. One thing was for sure, he needed a sword and shield before anything.
