She comes from Canterlot. She wished for the more quiet life of the country so she moves to Ponyville. During her move, she crash lands into the Sweet Apple Acres barn and breaks her wings.
She insists on helping the Apple family fix their barn while she recovers, ultimately falling in love with Big Macintosh.
