Did a drawing exercise I haven't done in several years, and I drew Lil.
I was listening to a music playlist I've been adding to for years, since before Google owned Youtube, while researching some stuff and got a terrible urge to start sketching. One song had me stop and think on it, and away I went. I drew Lil in the time it took for a second play through of Italobrothers-Stamp on the Ground then moved on to the next song. I listened to that song, then played it again while drawing her friend. By the time Alphaville- Dance with Me was complete I managed as much as you see. Don't think I got miss skunk's balance quite right, but it's a club dance, a friend is at her back, and I ran out of time, so meh. :3
Woo... I remember why it's been a while since I've done this drawing exercise. Gets creativity rushing like river when it works, but you always feel at least a little drained by the end of the session, almost like you were the one doing the moves, which you are allowed to do during the first play through. lol
I did a few more after this, but I think this first one came out best. The rest are kind of just shaded over stick figures, even if I am confident I captured the poses I wanted well. I might just pull them out again another day as a base for another image.
Better explanation of the drawing exercise:
*Listen to a song, get a feel for it. Dancing is allowed, but thought of motion is overall is best
*Start song over again.
*Draw image of a moment in the dance you envision with the song.
*Stop when the replay finishes. That image, or section of it, is done.
