The main fault with Japanese manga heroes -even AstroBoy- is that the story refuses to end, until the hero is DEAD. Kimba does not stay a cub. He grows up into Leo, and finally DIES to save Mr.Moustachio's life (yes, and Mr.Moustachio plays a role in my fan-fic.). Casper knows how AstroBoy will die or be destroyed for good, and tells him how to avoid that fate.
