The Wolf in You
This is a parody of Jumpy's great ballad For A Cat, made with his permission.

Made with just an old out-of-tune piano, a mike not meant for it and Fast Tracker 2. This one I will not re-record. :)

Release date: May 5 , 1998

Lyrics
Sitting at his computer,
looking at the screen,
the sqrl is writing music
and eating nuts in-between

He looks at swift notes passing,
never stopping by,
hasting, never halting
'cause the tempo is too high

Rebooting his computer,
again, blue screen of death.
He's clawing at his keyboard
and trying to hold his breath

His melody's too simple.
His rhymes are made of soap
And yet somehow his music
Inspires love and hope

Refrain
There was a time, he remembers,
when no fox would ever dream
of parodying his songs.
Giving it up with a sigh,
he plays this Mpeg/3.
I just hope he won't strangle me

I recall when this was first released on a now-defunct website featuring numerous furry songs back in the day. I loved it then, and I still do. I'm thrilled to see them available here, and still free. Have you considered creating a Bandcamp album? I'd happily purchase an album at the right price, even if the songs are available for free here, as a token of my gratitude. I adore your music; please keep up the fantastic work!

Additionally, since I've frequently done this on YouTube for songs I adore, I'll do the same here as well.

🌟 Hey there! I just came across your song, "For a Sqrl" by Chama, and I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts with an in-depth, detailed critique, and criticism. So, let's dive in! πŸŽΆπŸ”

First off, I absolutely love the charming and whimsical storytelling throughout the lyrics, which paint a vivid picture of a creative and industrious sqrl, busy composing music and munching on nuts. The imagery is so engaging that I can't help but envision the whole scene unfolding in my mind! πŸΏοΈπŸ’»πŸŽ΅

The swift-paced, high-tempo melody complements the lyrics well, reflecting the sqrl's energetic and unstoppable nature. The use of the blue screen of death as a metaphor for momentary setbacks adds a touch of relatability and humor to the song, making it even more endearing. πŸ˜†πŸ’™

Now, I do have a couple of constructive criticisms. While the melody is catchy, it might benefit from some added complexity to keep listeners engaged and captivated throughout. Additionally, although the rhymes have a charming simplicity, incorporating more sophisticated or unexpected rhymes could elevate the lyrics and provide a fresh twist. πŸ“ˆπŸ§

Finally, the refrain is beautifully nostalgic, capturing the sqrl's memories of a time when his songs were untarnished by parodies. The bittersweet sentiment of surrendering to the inevitability of change adds depth and emotion to the song, making it even more memorable. πŸŒ„πŸ¦ŠπŸŽ§

Overall, "For a Sqrl" is a delightful and enchanting piece that has the potential to inspire love and hope in listeners. Keep up the amazing work, and I can't wait to hear what you come up with next! πŸ‘πŸŽ‰
