It's a book. A very strange book, actually. Not cheap, either- The current edition can be had as cheap as US$75... Some editions are as valuable as $1k... :o I have two copies of it, two different editions bought 10 years apart... :) It's arranged like an encyclopedia, but written in an indecipherable alien language... Many images are visual puns, some quite surrealistic, some bizarre, some quite funny... Been a tremendous influence and inspiration for me as a writer... Has even pulled me out of depression... :)
It's been worth getting. :)

Yeah, no, too rich for my blood. Both in price and effort to read it... Unless reading it isn't the point. But then how does it inspire writing if you can't read it? ...Maybe I'm over-, or under-, thinking it, but point is, I've not heard of it.
I guess I just get too caught up in the fun of playing with the wrappings to play with the toys. {'''v^v'''}

Considering it's written in an indecipherable language, "reading" it isn't the point! :) A lot of the images are visual puns ("fish eyes", "dread lox") or surrealistic satire (little umbrellas with legs...and nothing else; avocado trees that halve themselves and swim upriver; TV antennas made of bones; writing magnified to show tiny highways, with cars).... As I've said, there is a free PDF of an earlier edition floating about, with all 350-some pages scanned, running about 52MB... Yes, it IS an expensive book, and both editions I bought, I did so entirely with money I got at Chrisrmas time (2004, 2014), which otherwise I wouldn't normally afford, either. As a writer, it provides inspiration to think of a "visual pun" in words (I love humour), or think of something that's tongue-in-cheek in an absurd kind of way, or how to describe a world very different from our own. :)
One section has examples of people, in absurd outfits (a "road warrior" with a chunk of striped pavement for a shield, for example), and this above pic reminds me of that section.
The book is titled Codex Seraphinianum, by Luigi Serafini. Current edition is more than 360 pages, with a bonus essay booklet in 6 or so languages that explains how Serafini came up with the book over a 3 year span back in the late '70s.

The characteristics of this piece came out fantastic, my turtle looks great, and the wrapping-paper tube couldn't have been done better to what I'd have wanted if I had described it in minute detail. I don't think the loss of your settings has set you back by much or at all from what I can see.
...Poor, lonely rocking horse, makes me feel guilty.

I'm glad you can't see any loss here-I only notice in small bits here and there while working, especially my blending tool...A lot different than what I had it at. xD
I agree-that poor little horsie. I'd ride on it if I weren't too big for it. Then it'd be crying for a whole new reason ;w;
I'm so glad you like it! I'm glad you can't see any loss here-I only notice in small bits here and
