Sort of a spur of the moment character idea for me. I've always really liked the jester/harlequin look. I blame this mostly on NiGHTS: Into Dreams, though for whatever reason I was never really inspired to make a jester character of my own until I came across lapinbeau's Jessie, who is absolutely adorable! ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/lapinbeau ) So I finally decided to make a character of my own.
Enter Lafayette, a young, yet highly talented performer. Very charismatic and sweet natured his career has essentially made him a perpetual child and while never with ill intent he has a fondness for pranks (again, blame it on being a clown) though these more often then not backfire on himself. He's often mistaken for a girl, usually a good 90% of the time, but this never seems to bother him and sometimes he doesn't even bother to correct the mistake (though that's usually to see the expression when they find out they were wrong by whatever means that should happen~)
It's unknown exactly what he is. While very human in appearance the awkwardly sharp teeth, unnatural eyes and the fact that his body paint never seems to be removed has raised suspicion amongst the other patrons of his troupe... but they think it best not to ask, he probably wouldn't give a straight answer if they did anyway.
Outfit and colors are subject to change, this was all a first shot, but I'm really happy with it for the most part. Expect to see more in the future!
