With this badge, I discovered that yes, there ARE limits to the coloration that "feels right" for me. This version is actually a little too far to the brown side of things, and Kelvin was nice enough to re-color it and send me printouts of the badge with both the darker and the lighter colorations. I feel comfortable with a reasonably wide selection of shades, but as far as bright red, bright orange, or dark brown goes, I tend more towards the middle of the triangle, as it were.
