Character Sheet for Pyren 'Charrenson' Monferno
Character Description
Pyren is a modest but strong-willed Pokemon who has good leadership skills and is well versed in fighting. He is adventurous but realistic in his undertakings.

Pyren is more tactical than his friends and will consider the plausibility of a particular adventure before jumping head-first into any trouble. Pyren takes this approach to combat and will try to search for advantages before engaging. Like most members of his species, Pyren fights with all of his limbs. Pyren’s agility allows him to throw swift blows and kicks, as well as slap his foe with his tailflame. His tailflame is his biggest advantage outside of moves, as it can be heated up to singe attackers that come too close. His move-set consists of Incinerate, Mach Punch, Acrobatics, and Thunderpunch
Pyren often uses Incinerate in conjunction with basic combat. Unlike Flamethrower, which is often restricted to the mouth in terms of deployment, Pyren can unleash Incinerate from any of his limbs. Thus, his swift punches and kicks often are coupled with fiery strength (literally). Pyren can also use this move directly to blast a group of foes who would be troublesome otherwise. Firebending? Never heard of it. Also this is a Pokemon move and is therefor different to the thing I’ve never heard of.
Mach Punch is Pyren’s obligatory fighting type move. He will employ this attack whenever his foes get too close for his preference. Being not one of his strongest moves, he will often not use this attack unless either his opponent is too close for his preference, is too swift to catch otherwise, or generally becomes annoying.
Acrobatics proves to be enjoyable both inside and outside of combat. Pyren can employ this ability to strike his target with the greatest of ease or to leap around an environment like a tall forest or a mountainous region.
Pyren almost exclusively uses Thunderpunch for self-defense against water and flying type Pokemon, his biggest threats. Whilst he can usually rely on Amelia or Remington to take out Psychic type Pokemon, Water and Flying Pokemon always proved an issue for Pyren and thus he learned this move soon after evolution.
Personality
In public, Pyren tries to keep a modest, tactful, and calm demeanor about him. Among friends, he is more casual and willing to act tough, silly, or mean when he needs to be.
Likes/Dislikes
Pyren prefers leadership and likes it when others take his advice or follow orders. Outside of a position of command, he also likes to show kindness to others and hates it when others degrade his friends or anyone in general.
Background/History
Pyren was born in the town of Ten'Sora, a port town in southeastern Statera. He grew up alongside Remy and, while he was reluctant to go adventuring with him and Amelia, has not regretted the experiences he's had. He was a member of the Freedom Guard for many years as an administrator of Team Freedom (unoriginal name is unoriginal). Even though much of his time was spent doing paperwork and organization of the grunts, he enjoys leadership and will actively try to show leadership or at the very least be an example for other Pokemon.
Relatives/Family
Pyren's father was, so to say, better than most fathers. He was cool with most things Pyren did, especially the training sessions he had with Remy, led by his grandfather Ignatius. It was Ignatius who encouraged Pyren and his friends to go off adventuring, although looking back Pyren realizes that his grandfather had a romantic view of adventure and that he was lucky he made it out alright.
World/Setting
Statera is a politically torn continent that has seen plenty of bloodshed. Pyren and his friends were at the forefront of many situations in the past. The biggest events that happened during Pyren's lifetime are the rise of a major Crawler Nest under a capital city, a war between the Pokemon of Arcanor and those of the Xoran cult, a major increase in Marauder Warband activity, and a final event that forced Pyren and his friends to leave Statera...
Body
Pyren is the average height for a Monferno. No specific features differentiating him from other Monfernos, though his mask colors are brighter than most.
Clothing
Other than his poncho, which is cream colored with darker outlines, Pyren doesn't wear any clothing.
Accessories
Pyren's primary 'accessory' of choice is a good set of gauntlets that would sharply increase the strength of his punches. His ability is Iron Fist, so frequent use of punches in a fight is common for him.
